JOB TITLE: POLICE DEPARTMENT SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER

The Florence Police Department is accepting applications for a School Resource Officer. Duties include patrol of FLISD School District property to protect students, personnel, and visitors from physical harm and prevent property loss due to theft or vandalism. Responds to all campuses concerning crisis situations, accidents, and reports of crime. Investigate criminal offenses that occur within district’s jurisdiction. Enforce all laws including municipal ordinances, county ordinances, and state laws. Augments City Patrol Officers as necessary during academic breaks to conduct regular patrol operations withing city limits. 

High school diploma or GED. Texas Peace Officer License issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Clear and valid Texas driver’s license. Background in law enforcement or related work experience. School Resource Officer experience preferred.

JOB TITLE: COURT CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR

The City of Florence is accepting applications, until filled, for a Court Clerk/Administrator. Work activities are related to public assistance and public information, cashiering, accounting, receipts of payments, monthly reports and clerical activities to lead and participate in the city’s Municipal Court. Performs other duties as required. Knowledge of Court Procedures and Incode Software preferred, but not required. Must have TMCEC court clerk Level 1 certification or ability to obtain within two years of employment.

High School or GED Equivalent.  Salary DOQ.
